Volunteer Opportunities

KSB is basically a volunteer service organization to channel intetested people into ways to improve the community.
To learn more about how you can help, click here or choose Volunteer Service on the left of this page.

Keep Shelby Beautiful is a result of work done by the Shelby Appearance Commission — an advisory board of the City of Shelby. KSB has a volunteer board of directors and the Appearance Commission members are also members of KSB. Stan Anthony is the KSB board chairman. Tommy Forney, Amusements Supervisor for Shelby Parks & Recreation is the KSB Coordinator.

The KAB philosophy is to work to effect behavior change (get people to stop littering as opposed to endless cleanup projects). The attitude change process is to:

  1. Get the Facts
  2. Involve the People
  3. Plan Systematically
  4. Focus on Results
  5. Provide Positive Reinforcement
